In 2020, you helped us defend Rep. Lucy McBath's seat in what was considered the deep-red suburbs of Georgia -- and the GOP took notice. Now she's on the NRCC's target list for the 2022 cycle, and we need your help to make sure Republicans don't flip her seat.
Rep. McBath is the kind of leader we need in Washington, John. She decided to run for office after her teenage son became a victim of gun violence, and she has dedicated herself to protecting families in the halls of Congress ever since defeating a GOP incumbent by just 1% in 2018 -- in a district the NRA helped Republicans hold for two decades.
Now more than ever, we need strong leaders who advocate for an end to the senseless violence, but the GOP will do anything to protect the NRA, and that means they're all in on ousting McBath.
Just like in 2020, we want to make sure McBath has the resources she needs to counter the GOP's smear tactics. But this year, we're faced with an even bigger challenge. Georgia just passed the most restrictive voting law since the Jim Crow era, and we can't waste a moment to ensure voters make it to the polls next year.
