Friend --

In the early days of the pandemic, every evening we’d hear folks clapping from
the streets, from their stoops, from balconies and windows to thank frontline
health care workers.

We’ve come a long way from daily clapping. Today, with 100 million Americans
fully vaccinated and everyone aged 16 or over eligible for the vaccine, health
care workers are continuing to serve on the very front lines of this pandemic.
We should be thanking them every day, while continuing work to get the direct
relief and assistance they need to care for their families and their patients.

It’s National Nurses Day over a year into the pandemic. Can you sign the card to say thank you to frontline health care workers? [link removed] ADD YOUR NAME → [link removed]

My Democratic colleagues and I didn’t waste a minute before working to provide
material support to health care workers, like hazard pay and improvements to
transit services, and we haven’t stopped. The biggest stimulus bill in U.S.
history has already put checks in people’s pockets and invested in the
vaccination programs where they’re needed most.

But health care workers like nurses have borne some of the worst of the
pandemic, and we must continue to do more to support them. Can you add your name
to say “thank you” to nurses and other frontline health care workers?

Working in Washington, I know that gratitude is short-lived. But it’s important
for all of us to continue to show nurses and other frontline health care workers
that we are still advocating, fighting, and working for them -- and that we’ll
never forget how much we owe to them.

Thanks,

Chuck Schumer
