Republican Hopeful Trots Out 1,000-Pound Bear to Beat Gavin Newsom
 
Chip in $5 to defend Gavin Newsom and stop the recall.

The recall circus is in town, John.

FIRST: Republicans submitted enough signatures to "all but guarantee" a $400 million taxpayer funded recall of Governor Gavin Newsom.

THEN: A number of fringe candidates -- including pseudo-celebrity Caitlyn Jenner -- announced their campaigns.

NOW: Perennial candidate John Cox is throwing his hat in the circus ring with a Beauty and the Beast-themed launch that included a live, 1000-lb bear.

Far-right Republicans are prepared to run this state into the ground with their gimmicks and reality show ploys. Trump's fingerprints are all over this recall, and we won't put anything past him -- including spending millions against Newsom as a final insult to California.

We launched an emergency effort to raise $20,000 to defend Gavin Newsom and stop the recall, but we came up $5,601 short. Can you chip in $5 or whatever you can to defend Newsom against the Trump-backed recall effort?
