Last week a former colleague of mine, Sen. Tim Scott, delivered a response to Joe Biden’s State of the Union Speech.
He was intelligent and reasonable, and the left responded with racist ridicule.
The Lamar County Democrat Party called Tim an “Oreo,” a term for someone who is “Black on the outside and white on the inside.”
And, thanks to our pressure, the Texas Democrat leader who made this statement has attempted to resign.
But, once again proving that the Democrats are the real racists, the Lamar County Democrat Party is now not accepting his resignation.
My dad, “Buck” West, used to tell me “an empty wagon makes a lot of noise.”
This seems like a good analogy for the nonsensical racism spouted by the left.
John, you and I know America is not a racist country.
If it were, people like Sen. Tim Scott and I would not have risen to where we are today.
But the left keeps trying to insert senseless racism in our political conversations, even as they preach “unity.”
Don’t listen to the empty wagons making noise.
