Right now, the NRA is in bankruptcy court attempting a last-ditch effort to save their evil empire from any kind of accountability. But in reality this trial is proving what we knew all along: Wayne LaPierre has polluted the organization with corruption and greed as he spread the NRA’s deadly agenda. One NRA director called it “Wayne’s kingdom” and even the NRA’s lawyer characterized the organization’s conduct as “cringe-worthy.”
Even as more suits, jets, and meals are added to Wayne LaPierre’s long list of malfeasances, the NRA is not backing down – in fact, they are spending $2 million to fight President Biden’s nominee to direct the ATF. I don’t know which of Wayne’s yachts they had to sell to fund this deadly campaign, but one thing is absolutely clear: We cannot sit back and allow the NRA to continue to stop lifesaving action.
For decades, the NRA has claimed to be a tax-exempt nonprofit organization operating for "common good," when in reality they have looted and victimized their donor base by misusing their money for personal gain. And while Wayne LaPierre and NRA executives padded their pockets, thousands of American lives were stolen by gun violence, and the rest of us were told these fears were an essential part of American life.
John, we’ve had enough of the NRA’s corruption and living in fear. We must keep fighting to hold them accountable for their deadly lies.
