Earlier this week the hearing for Senator Cannizzaro’s SB420, establishing a public health insurance option in Nevada, took place. Tomorrow's Out In Front will go into more detail about how this long overdue legislation will provide access to affordable healthcare and comes at a critical time as we recover from the public health crisis brought by the pandemic.

The benefit of the Nevada Public Option is threefold. It would:

• Ensure that Nevadans statewide always have equal access to affordable, quality coverage, especially if they lose their job or insurance. 
• Reduce costs for small businesses, allowing for higher wages and other benefits.
• Lower costs for everyone by forcing insurance companies to compete with the public option for your business.
