This is horrifying, friend: Republicans have introduced more than 360 voter suppression bills in 47 states across the country (including right here in New Hampshire).

We can't allow these blatant attacks on our democracy to succeed – and 2020 showed us the importance of protecting voting rights and protecting our democracy. That's why I wanted to make sure you saw this message from Senator Shaheen.

Republicans are waging an outright war on our democracy, friend.

First, they tried to outlaw vote-by-mail during a global pandemic. Then, they spread unfounded lies about voter fraud in the 2020 elections leading to a violent insurrection. Now, they're working to disenfranchise millions of Americans with a barrage of voter suppression bills nationwide. We must take immediate action to protect every American's right to vote.

That’s why I’m supporting the For the People Act, which would expand voter protections and strengthen our elections. It would also finally end special interests’ undue influence on our nation’s politics. But Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans are going to fight us every step of the way on this, so it's important that I know where top supporters like you stand, friend.
