WOW, folks -- This Saturday the Virginia Republican Party is conducting its nominating process for candidates in the November election, and it’s already getting messy:
Rather than let voters choose their nominees, Virginia Republicans are running a chaotic convention where party insiders will pick the candidates. Their process has been a mess from the start, with candidates alleging rigging, fraud, and cheating.
If the GOP can’t even run an open, transparent primary process, how can they possibly govern the Commonwealth of Virginia? But despite their disarray, Republican candidates still outraised us by $9 million in the race for Governor -- and no matter who wins the GOP nomination, we have to keep the Commonwealth blue on Election Day.
