Hala always tells me that the best part about campaigning is getting to talk with folks from across the Commonwealth and hear their personal stories, concerns, and hopes for a better future.

But all too often, what politicians hear in one ear goes right out the other, resulting in a government that doesn’t listen to us, look like us, share our experiences, or fight for our needs. Well, folks, that’s not Hala.

Hala knows what so many Virginians have been through because she’s been through it too. As a single mother, a Medicare recipient, and an adult student, Hala knows what it’s like to worry about keeping a roof over your head and food on the table.

Hala knows her story isn’t unique, and she believes everyone has a story worth hearing and a future worth fighting for. Hala’s running for Lt. Governor so all Virginians can have a seat at the table and a chance at a brighter future.
