Greetings Friend,
BREAKING:
The Human Life Non-Discrimination Act (HB 453) has passed the NC House
Judiciary 1 Committee!
After passing the NC House Health
Committee on Tuesday, this second committee vote was the bill's final
major committee hurdle. The bill now heads to the Rules Committee late
this afternoon and then to the NC House for a floor vote
which may come as early as this
Thursday!
This is why we urgently need you to
click and contact members of the NC House. It is
our last chance to ensure we protect life in the womb from being
discriminated against because of the baby's race and/or prenatal
diagnosis of Down syndrome.
(Some photos of our speakers at the
NC House Health and Judiciary committees)
No one deserves to be discriminated
against because of his or her race or disability. This is especially
true of unborn children who are being marked for death just because
someone has determined that they are the wrong race or have the
potential or confirmed diagnosis of Down syndrome.
If
you haven't already done so, could you please take a minute to contact
your representatives—before it's too late—and ask them to vote for
HB453?
In gratitude,
Tami
