We did it: President Biden has raised refugee admissions to 62,500 for fiscal year 2021.

And we truly couldn't have done it without the staunch support and unrelenting actions taken by advocates like you, John.

This announcement by the President does not just fulfill a promise, it sends a global signal that America is resuming its humanitarian leadership.

It represents a step on the road to rebuilding the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program and setting an ambitious goal of welcoming 125,000 refugees next year. Our teams — including IRC staff and communities in 25 cities across the country — are looking forward to continuing to partner with the administration and welcoming communities to rebuild this important program. We stand ready to welcome.
