Dear John,

As one of EDF President Fred Krupp’s favorite sayings goes, “Hope is a verb with its sleeves rolled up.” And this is certainly an inspiring moment for turning hope into action.

That’s the main message from Fred’s recent appearance on the “Outrage + Optimism” podcast. The focus was on how we seize momentum from President Biden’s landmark pledge to slash America’s climate pollution by at least 50% before this defining decade is up.

If you’re looking to get fired up for climate action, this episode of the “Outrage + Optimism” podcast series is well worth a listen. [link removed]

Hosted by former Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Christiana Figueres, author and climate advocate Tom Rivett-Carnac and Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) founder Paul Dickinson, the Outrage + Optimism podcast series is a great follow for anyone tracking the latest on the climate crisis and how we can thrive behind it.

This is definitely a time for hope and inspiration — but also a time for action.

And this podcast is a great listen to get fired up and ready to go.
