Hello, Friends—

As we enter the second week of the “formal” impeachment inquiry into President Trump, one thing is clear: nothing has changed. Democrats are still grasping at straws, now basing their impeachment efforts on — what else? — “collusion,” this time with Ukraine.

How uncreative.

Last time it was Russia. Now it’s Russia’s next-door neighbor.

The Democrats leading this charade are being hypocritical — especially Adam Schiff, Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, who blatantly fabricated quotes from President Trump’s phone call with the President of Ukraine. Is this what we’ve come to?

Mr. Schiff is obsessed with finding “dirt” on the President. But remember when he was caught on tape trying to solicit salacious information from “Ukrainian politicians” (who actually turned out to be Russian prankster radio hosts) about President Trump? Sad!

If you’re following along at home with the Democrats’ game of “pin the tail on the impeachment theory,” they’ve gone from collusion, to obstruction of justice, to emoluments, and now to a whistleblower on President Trump’s Ukraine. You wouldn’t be able to get the so-called evidence from this whistleblower admitted into a court of law, so how do the Democrats expected to use it as a basis to impeach a president?

I’ve spent this week back home in Florida, and it is clear to me that the American people are NOT convinced by any of the Democrats’ arguments. (I think it’s telling that Democrats announced their ‘impeachment inquiry’ and then immediately followed it up with a Congressional recess).

On Tuesday, I went on Fox Business to talk with Lou Dobbs about the Democrats’ hypocrisy. Watch our discussion here:

My friend and colleague, Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) has introduced a bill to condemn and censure the actions of House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff, which I have cosponsored. Mr. Schiff has abused his position as Chairman of the Intelligence Committee, and has betrayed the trust of the American people. His “orchestrated farce,” to quote Rep. Devin Nunes, has gone on long enough.

The Klopfer Tragedy

Last month, 2,246 preserved human fetal remains were found on the property of the home of Abortionist Ulrich ‘George’ Klopfer. Before he died, Mr. Klopfer committed truly heinous acts during his time as a doctor in Northern Indiana. I have signed a joint letter to Attorney General Barr, requesting an investigation of this horrific matter, and an evaluation of laws in place regarding the burial and cremation of human fetal remains. The letter orders a “full criminal investigation if deemed appropriate” of Mr. Klopfer’s actions.

Religious Liberty

Last week, President Trump gave an address on religious liberty at the United Nations in New York City. I want to highlight one particularly notable line of his speech: “The United States is founded on the principle that our rights do not come from government; they come from God.”

I’m proud to live in a country where our President acknowledges the importance of religious liberty and the freedom to worship. These rights are vital for a liberty to prosper in any country — and they are alive and well in ours!

POTUS in the Villages

Yesterday, while in The Villages, President Trump signed an Executive Order to improve seniors’ healthcare by giving patients more plan choices, more access to telehealth, and new therapies. His plan includes removing obstacles to improved patient care and protecting beneficiaries by eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse. President Trump is Making America Great Again for Americans of ALL ages!

AROUND THE DISTRICT

Cybersecurity at Corry Station

On Thursday, I had the privilege of visiting the folks at the Department of Homeland Security’s National Network Protection Facility at Corry Station. This national security facility in Escambia County helps detect, deter, and prevent cyberattacks nationwide — yet another way in which Northwest Florida contributes prominently to America’s defense. I am immensely proud of the work being done to protect our nation in Florida’s First Congressional District!

Everglades Restoration

Yesterday, Governor Ron DeSantis announced that the Florida Crystals Corporation is terminating its lease on lands needed for Everglades Restoration Projects. The termination of this contract will allow the expedition of the Everglades Agricultural Area Reservoir Project to fight harmful algal blooms.

This is a huge step towards restoration of the Everglades, and an enormous win for the entire state of Florida. Governor DeSantis continues to deliver results!

Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to Marsha Harp of West Navarre Primary School in Santa Rosa County. Marsha was honored as the Air Force Association’s STEM Teacher of the Year, for her outstanding contribution to our children’s education and specifically in the STEM programs. Northwest Florida boasts some of the best teachers training our students — our future is in good hands.
