Millions of children struggling with hunger. Rush a gift today. [link removed]
John,
With so much going on in communities around the world, we share a lot about our global programs. But with Mother’s Day coming up, we want to make sure you know more about the critical work our teams do every day to make life better for kids - and moms - right here in the United States.
The economic impact of the pandemic coupled with school closures has caused a shocking rise in child hunger in the US. An estimated 17 million children are hungry in America – that’s 1 in 4 kids! And this crisis is particularly bad for children of color and kids living in rural communities.
As a mom, the thought of putting my kid to sleep hungry breaks my heart. That's why Save the Children teams are supporting moms and families through this especially challenging time both in the US and around the world – providing everything from meals delivered to their doors to money to help them buy food and other needs. And our advocates at Save the Children Action Network are calling on Congress to make nutrition programs work better for moms and kids.
John, these crucial efforts for children here in the United States and around the world aren't possible without supporters like you. That's why we set a goal to raise $50,000 for the world's most vulnerable children ahead of Mother's Day weekend – but we're still $25,784 short, and we're counting on your help.
As mothers everywhere go above and beyond for their children, please make a donation to make sure children facing hardships can get the resources and care they need for a bright future. : [link removed]
