Here’s the truth, John:

Republicans are terrified. 

They know President Biden’s agenda is HUGELY popular with a majority of Americans—including Republican voters across the country!

They can’t win on the issues, so they’ve devised a new playbook for 2022:

1. Voter suppression: Legislators have introduced 361 voter suppression bills in 47 states THIS YEAR ALONE. These bills, introduced under the pretense of fighting “election fraud,” are really just designed to make it harder for people to vote—especially low-income and minority voters.

2. Gerrymandering: The same Republicans that are passing voter suppression laws in states across the country are in control of redrawing congressional districts. That’s going to give them a MASSIVE advantage heading into the midterm elections.

This isn’t some secret. This is an open, brazen Republican power grab. And the SINGLE-BEST way we can fight back, right now, is by passing HR-1, the For the People Act: Democrats’ signature legislative package that defends our democracy, protects voting rights, and puts an end to partisan gerrymandering, once and for all.
