Liberal Democrats Lib Dem Council Builds First New Council Homes in 30 Years

John, two years ago, we won a majority in Somerset and West Taunton in the
local elections. Since then we have beenbuilding new carbon-zero homes. We are
working hard to provide homes for the 4,000 people on their housing waiting
list.

In Minehead, we are building the first new council homes in 30 years.
Meanwhile, our flagship scheme in North Taunton will see200 council and
affordable rent homes either newly built or regenerated.

This is the Liberal Democrat difference - improving people’s lives through
real action and change.

collection and clean streets (though they are very important). From housing, to
