Our Indiana state lawmakers recently wrapped up their legislative session, and we were able to accomplish some great things for our K-12 education system.
Hoosiers are making a historic investment in education, increasing overall school funding by $1.9 BILLION over the next two years.
New recommended starting teacher salaries will be at $40,000, helping recruit and retain more teachers. $600 million will also be made available for schools that direct 45% of tuition support to teacher pay.
Indiana is flourishing under Republican leadership, and it’s wonderful to be able to invest in the education of tomorrow's Hoosier leaders!
