Dark money groups are already building to beat Democratic AGs over the next two years. We need to respond.
“Donald Trump is building a shadow Republican Party” - CNN
When we saw this headline, we only came to you because we thought of one thing: Our Democratic AGs are going to need your support, friend.
Here’s why: Donald Trump isn’t building a shadow Republican party to benefit anyone but himself, and he’s funneling money to his cronies like Stephen Miller, who has formed a Republican “legal” group to combat President Biden’s Justice Department and our Democratic AGs.
Republicans are going to funnel money anywhere that slows progress and they know that AG elections over the next two years are one of the most crucial ways to impact policy on the state and national level.
And Stephen Miller’s group isn’t the only place where Republican money will flow. Look at this news alert that our team received:
Extreme right-wing dark money group Judicial Crisis Network launched a seven-figure campaign to stop President Biden’s judicial nominees.
We know if Republican groups are already buying ads to slow the Biden-Harris agenda, they will funnel money to beat Dem AGs next.
As the most effective group of elected officials, Dem AGs have protected and expanded our right to vote, fought to save the Affordable Care Act, worked to get untraceable “ghost guns” off the streets, and fought for racial justice and equity beside Black and AAPI activists.
Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and with more than 30 AG seats up for grabs in the next two years, we need your support – will you chip in today?
