John,
It seems like not even a week can go by without a right-wing outlet attacking Cori. Take a look at what Fox News published just a few days ago:
Cori is proud to be in this movement with the Squad, and St. Louis Mayor Tishaura O. Jones’ proposed budget amendments to defund the police and invest in social services were historic. But Fox News would rather fearmonger and hurl racist attacks at Cori than report the truth.
Cori has made it clear since day one that she isn't in Congress to cater to Fox News or the right-wing. She's there to speak the truth and won't ever be quiet about making real steps towards a safer St. Louis.
St. Louis has suffered from violence — including police violence — for far too many years and funneling money into the police department has only increased the violence. So let's set the record straight: St. Louis' reallocation of $4 million from the policy budget into social services is exactly the mandate we've been calling for. We need to invest in our people, our schools, and our communities, and this is a historic step in that direction.
But we can't say we're surprised by Fox News' reaction. They've attacked Cori for standing up for her community and calling out racism in our policy systems too many times to count.
We know that Cori is one of the right-wing's favorite targets, but that means our movement needs the resources to have Cori's back as she continues to take bold, unapologetic action to dismantle racist systems.

Attacks like these only do one thing — they prove that Republicans are terrified of the movement Cori’s leading. But Cori's not going to slow down in her fight, which means Fox News won't either.
In solidarity,
