Hi, The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) is a critical piece of legislation that protects women from the horrors of domestic violence. As this bill sits in the Senate waiting to be reauthorized, victims of domestic violence continue to lose access to the many important programs for stopping domestic violence and abuse in our communities. Just last month, the House passed the Violence Against Women Act Reauthorization Act of 2021, and now it is time that we call upon the Senate to do the same. Sign on now to ensure this very important legislation passes → This bill was passed with bipartisan support in 1994, and has since been reauthorized in 2000, 2005, and 2013. Once it was passed in 1994, domestic violence rates fell by half. One in four women experience domestic violence in their homes. With this being such a widespread issue, we must put a stop to it. Sign on now and ensure that the Senate votes to reauthorize VAWA immediately → Thanks for taking action, Angie
