The rest of America begins to take a turn for the better in the battle against COVID-19. But here in Georgia, thanks to unreliable leadership at the state level, our vaccine rollout is the 4th slowest in the country.
Instead of creating a clear pathway to a return to normal, Brian Kemp has spent his time easing COVID-19 restrictions to appeal to a base that hates him thanks to Donald Trump. This week, he took his grandstanding to another level — Kemp was photographed taking a boat trip across the Rio Grande river at the Mexican border.
With his re-election campaign on the horizon, Kemp has abandoned Georgia's local governments and institutions which are continuing the fight against this pandemic so he can instead pander to radicalized Republicans and right-wingers.
Georgians need our help to take the Governor's office out of Republicans' incapable hands. Democrats up and down the ballot will need all the support they can get, and here at Georgia Blue Project we are doing everything in our power to get ready for the battle coming in 2022.
