1992. The Soviet Union has just fallen. Johnny Carson is leaving The Tonight Show.

And Republicans are just an election victory away from more than a quarter century of supermajority control in one or both chambers of the Kansas Legislature.

But in 2020, just picking up four seats – one in the House and three in the Senate – will determine whether or not we finally break the GOP supermajorities in Topeka.

The possibility of ending these Republican supermajorities in the 2020 election is our best chance in years to make sure working families finally get a fair shot in the Kansas Legislature. Chip in to our 2020 Grassroots Campaign to turn as many districts blue as we can!

Kansans shouldn't have had to wait this long – since four years before the writer of the KDP's emails was even alive! – for even the possibility that Republicans might lose their stranglehold on either end of the Kansas Capitol. But next year we can once and for all make it happen.

If we flip just four of the 32 GOP districts Gov. Laura Kelly won in 2018, the entire political reality for what's possible in Kansas will shift. Can we count on your support to make this happen?

Onward,
KDP Team
