2020 is not the only election on our minds. In one month, Virginians head to the polls to elect all their state legislators in the Commonwealth’s House of Delegates and Senate.

It’s an off-year election, but we’re all in at this critical moment. As reported by The Washington Post, we are investing $500,000 to help Democrats running for the Virginia House on top of our $1,000,000 investment in 2017, which helped flip 15 seats and brought us within one vote of winning the chamber.

With the Virginia election quickly approaching, we need your support to grow our programs and bring us closer to securing a majority in the House of Delegates for the first time in two decades.

Despite recent mass shootings, the GOP-held Virginia General Assembly has repeatedly stonewalled any progress on gun safety—even abruptly ending a special legislative session on gun control this summer without considering a single bill.

This is our last chance to win back power and reclaim our democracy before Republicans can gerrymander the Commonwealth’s maps in the 2021 redistricting process and cement their control for the next decade.
