Our democracy is in crisis, friend.

You know it, I know it, and House Democrats know it. That’s why we passed the For the People Act this March.

The problem is, Republicans know it too, but they don’t want to fix it. They know that free and fair elections don’t benefit them, so they are restricting voting rights all across the country. Through more than 250 bills in 43 state legislatures, Republicans are effectively targeting working people and communities of color.

In the face of the outrageous and discriminatory attacks on voting access, the Senate needs to listen to popular support and act to protect every American’s right to vote. The very basis of our democracy depends on it.
