I wanted to thank you all for your support. We ended April in a really good spot, and I’m currently working with my team to introduce you all to the next phase of Groundwork in just a few weeks!
In case you missed some of my messages last week, Groundwork is looking closely at some of the regressive policy efforts sweeping the country, on issues like voting rights and trans rights, and learning how local organizers are fighting back.
It’s clear with everyone I talk to that having immediate resources is a concern for organizations working hard on the ground. The resources we had in the door by the end of last week were key in our internal discussions about how many states, organizations, and policy fights we can include in the next phase of expanding Groundwork’s efforts.
If you didn’t have time to give last week, you can still give to our Operational Fund now. [[link removed]]
Groundwork’s mission is to turn Democrats’ focus to hyperlocal organizations and funnel national resources -- both financially and through volunteer support -- where they can have the biggest impact.
None of our work would be possible without supporters like you. I’m humbled and honored to have your continued trust and support.
More soon!
Joe
Groundwork Project was founded by Joe Kennedy III to support community organizers, advocates, and activists nationwide who are working year-round to build a just, free, and equitable future for all. For decades, the Democratic Party has under-resourced, under-valued, and under-recognized the importance of local political infrastructure and year-round grassroots organizing. This needs to change.
We're directing resources, attention, and support to the local advocates and state-based organizations doing the deep, long-term organizing that Democrats need to build a more diverse party, expand its base, win elections, and deliver progressive policy reforms. Contribute now. [[link removed]]
