Last year, the Council for a Livable World endorsed my campaign. I was honored to have their support and would like to tell you a bit more about their current mission.

The Council promotes policies to reduce and eventually eliminate nuclear threats and minimize the risk of war. They do this by helping elect congressional candidates who share their goals and then supporting elected officials once in office.

They are circulating a petition to President Biden to reverse course on Trump's dangerous nuclear weapons policy. As you may well know, Trump expanded the role and cost of nuclear weapons, abandoned important arms control and non-proliferation treaties, and risked sparking a new nuclear arms race.

In last year's election, the Council raised $1.5 million for 35 congressional candidates. They are now beginning to plan their involvement in key 2022 elections.

Organizations like these -- that mix strategic electoral interventions with a thoughtful policy approach -- are key to making an impact on policy in Washington DC.
