Dear John,

This year, NIAC hosted an unprecedented number of cultural events that have brought together the Iranian-American community in celebration of heritage and culture. As a guest of several of these events, I've witnessed first hand NIAC's success in mobilizing the Iranian-American community and its allies in advancing peace & diplomacy, securing equitable immigration policies, and protecting the civil rights of all Americans.

That’s why this Thursday, May 6th at 8pm ET/ 5 pm PT I'm proud to support NIAC by speaking at their 2021 Virtual Gala. But with only three days till the event, time is limited to secure a spot, so make sure to RSVP today!

I’ll be making a special guest appearance alongside such phenomenal individuals as Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, President of J Street Jeremy Ben-Ami, MoveOn's Rahna Epting, and more! I'm also proud to join NIAC in honoring an exceptional slate of individuals and organizations who have worked tirelessly to champion our priorities, including the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the National Immigration Law Center (NILC) for their work on the Muslim ban.

The 2021 Virtual Gala is an enormous opportunity to connect with everyday NIAC members all across the country and to celebrate the many champions of the Iranian-American community. Don't miss out on what should be a spectacular evening. Make sure to RSVP today!

Best,

Juan Cole
Professor of History, University of Michigan
