This morning, NextGen America announced our endorsement of incumbent Larry Krasner in the Democratic primary for Philadelphia district attorney. Krasner is a progressive, reform-minded leader who previously served as a public defender and civil rights lawyer. 

When we ask young people what issues most motivate them to get out and vote, criminal justice reform is consistently at the top of the list. That’s why this election is too important to sit on the sidelines.

In addition to the Philadelphia district attorney’s race, we’ll be encouraging young voters to turn out and vote in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court primary and the Pittsburgh mayoral primary, which are also taking place on Tuesday, May 18. 

The Supreme Court and mayoral primaries present an opportunity to educate voters about the importance of these offices and increase turnout that will make the difference now and in 2022.
