Dear Supporter,

Some of you might have seen a video of the NRA’s head Executive Wayne LaPierre hunting elephants. Like all things NRA, the footage was vile, disgusting, and clumsy.
But the bigger NRA story is that the once-influential organization is now teetering on bankruptcy and left with little clout on Capitol Hill even amongst former allies.
As President Biden made gun violence prevention a central theme of his first joint address to Congress. Wayne LaPierre was defending his use of NRA funds for his Botswana getaway in bankruptcy court. One side is leading the effort for a safer and more secure nation, the other is declining into irrelevancy.

Thank you for standing on this side with us.

We are building on successes at the state level and taking it to Washington. This is a top priority of the leadership at the White House and Congress. The American people are tired of waiting. Now is the time for evidence-based gun violence prevention policies to be enacted for all Americans. Democrats are united in this effort and Republicans recognize which way this issue is moving -- they don’t want to be the next elephant victim of the NRA’s failures.

Help us get the job done in Washington. Make a donation today to help our federal efforts and get these policies -- universal background checks, Extreme Risk Protection Order incentives, and lethal means safety training, and others -- passed into law.

Help us build a stronger and safer America.
