Hello and thank you for your support!

What a week.  Thanks to you, we announced a record quarter with $10 million in contributions to the campaign, almost 4 times what we raised last quarter.  This was a political earthquake with Politico, CNN, Fox, the Washington Post and others stating that I am now a serious contender for the nomination.  In the words of one commentator, we now have the capacity to ‘do something' historic.

We are investing smart; we are hiring staff and organizers in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, South Carolina, and other key states.  We had an enormous rally in Los Angeles on Monday that drew over 5,000 people.  I just visited our office in Las Vegas, and the Yang Gang there is amazing.  We had a Town Hall in Las Vegas that drew hundreds.

A union organizer told me, “All of the candidates have come through to this very hall and this is the biggest crowd we’ve seen.”

The conventional political playbook is to throw our newfound cash at TV advertising in the early states.  That seems like a great way to spend a lot of money quickly.  I’ve been around the block enough to know that when everyone does something a certain way, there’s often good reason -- but that there are also sometimes different approaches that can yield better results or accomplish a goal more cost-effectively.

We certainly didn’t get here by following the conventional playbook.

We are going to lean into the qualities that have gotten us to this point.  Embracing our humanity.  Using reason and speaking the truth.  Bringing people together instead of tearing them down.  Letting everyone know that we are capable of both better solutions and a more forward-looking approach to our politics.

We have already broken unprecedented ground – and the best is yet to come.  We have earned our chance to make history together.  If we pour our hearts out in the next several months and keep growing the tribe, we will continue to stun the world.

I can see the path ahead.  Let’s do it.
