Dear Friend,

Be sure to join us this Thursday, for La Lucha Sigue! DC JWJ is spending this post-May Day week reflecting on our history of immigration justice campaigns in Washington DC. La Lucha Sigue! 20 Years of Fighting for Immigrant Justice in Washington, DC on Thursday, May 6 from 6:00 - 7:30.

The DC community resisted anti-immigrant forces from Secure Communities to Trump's family separation and undermining TPS. And we have led innovative campaigns: winning drivers licenses for all DC residents, supporting day laborers, fighting wage theft, and winning cash assistance for excluded workers in the pandemic.

Our panelists have been there for all of it - leading campaigns and initiatives to fight for immigrants and create solidarity among workers and Washingtonians.

Panelists:
Jaime Contreras - 32BJ SEIU
Antonia Pe?a - National Domestic Workers Alliance
Sarahi Uribe - former Washington Lawyers Committee and NDLON
Arturo Griffiths - Trabajadores Unidos
Moderated by Alya Solomon - former Metro Labor Council

Program in English and Spanish
