New York City is home to the largest immigrant population in the country—with over 3 million immigrant New Yorkers, it’s essential that the next Mayor have a robust plan to empower immigrant communities.
This Thursday, in partnership with The City, City Limits, Gotham Gazette, CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies, and our sister organization, NYIC Action, we’ll hear from NYC Mayoral candidates Shaun Donovan, Kathryn Garcia, Dianne Morales, Scott Stringer, Maya Wiley, and Andrew Yang about their priorities for improving the lives of immigrant New Yorkers.
Over the past year, we’ve seen immigrant communities excluded from COVID treatment and relief, despite the fact that immigrants make up over 50% of NYC’s frontline workforce, and immigrants’ exclusion from health care, fair housing, and equitable education has only been exacerbated. We need and deserve a Mayor who will fight for an inclusive, vibrant, healthy, and safe city for immigrants and all New Yorkers.
RSVP for the Mayoral Forum to learn where the candidates stand on issues that matter to immigrant New Yorkers!
See you there,
