A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative, creative and strategically minded Special Educational Needs Teacher to join The Inclusive Education Service, The Learning Support Team, Nottingham City Council.?The Learning Support Team are looking for the?right specialist teacher,?to join?our small, highly specialised?group of SEND professionals, and develop new skills and knowledge, whilst bringing?their own SEND experience to the role.

In order to join our team, you will need to be confident in the delivery of advice and training to schools, around the learning needs of pupils with a range of SEND. You will use a range of assessment tools to inform identification and planning, for the promotion and inclusion of SEND children and young people across the city. You will have a proven track record of improving educational outcomes for the children and young people with SEND. As a member of the Learning Support Team, you will be solution focused, have good negotiation skills combined with the resilience and determination to secure the best possible provision for SEND children?and young people. You will be able to write and communicate clearly and develop good working relationships with children, young people, their families and educational settings.

*ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:*?

* Qualified Teacher Status/ Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills Status

* Demonstrable knowledge of a range of teaching and learning approaches and practices, relating to Special Educational Needs
* Extensive experience of SEND practice in mainstream or special school settings
* Experience of providing training and/or professional development to colleagues
* A full clean driving licence and access to a car?
