Even in small doses, chlorpyrifos can harm children’s brains. But millions of pounds of this neurotoxic chemical are still being sprayed on American farmland each year. As a result, chlorpyrifos can be found on some of kids’ favorite foods, like apples, peaches and grapes! The EPA’s own assessment found that the levels of chlorpyrifos are unsafe.
