May 3, 2021
Dear John,
A new source of pandemic-related federal funds has just opened. The Restaurant Revitalization Fund was established as part of the American Rescue Plan that I helped to pass and is now available to restaurants, food trucks, bars, breweries, bakeries and other eligible businesses.
Few businesses have been harder hit than our restaurants and that’s why I have been pushing for this type of program since last year. Starting today, May 3, 2021, this program will provide restaurants with funding equal to their pandemic-related revenue loss up to $10 million per business and no more than $5 million per physical location. Recipients are not required to repay the funding as long as funds are used for eligible uses no later than March 11, 2023.

Local businesses had to shut their doors to keep us safe, but this emergency funding will help make sure they can make a full financial recovery. Small businesses and the workers they employ are the lifeblood of our local economy and their success is vital to our community.
As your Congressman, I want to make sure that North Texas restaurant owners get their fair share of the funds available, so feel free to reach out to my office at (972) 972-7949, email me and watch my short video on the Restaurant Revitalization Fund if you have questions or need help with your Restaurant Revitalization Fund application. Please feel free to share this information with any restaurant owners you know.
Sincerely,
Colin Allred Member of Congress
