| Support ICYMI: A Place to Call Home On May 1st, in honor of our AAPI families, we premiered a new film, A Place to Call Home. Filmmaker Stephanie Tran (they/them), a young, queer, Vietnamese filmmaker, approached PFLAG National last year hoping to amplify and honor LGBTQ+ Asian, Asian-American, and Pacific Islander voices. Then COVID hit, and the way films were being made had to change, quickly--putting the project on pause. We are so glad that, one year later, Stephanie is finally able to bring their vision to life. | Advocacy Tell the Senate: All we want for Mother's Day is Equality for our kids! This week, we’re celebrating the moms, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, and mothering people in our lives — and the work they do for us every single day. But Mother’s Day serves as a reminder: Our work to protect LGBTQ+ children isn’t finished yet. As we speak, LGBTQ+ kids in nearly 30 states across the country lack the protections they deserve to live a life free of discrimination. That’s why we’re letting Congress know: It’s time to pass the Equality Act now. JOIN OUR FIGHT: SIGN THE LETTER TODAY AND TELL CONGRESS THAT MOMS SUPPORT THE EQUALITY ACT Moms know better than anyone that LGBTQ+ children are children — and they deserve the same care, dignity, and protections as every other kid.
