Fellow Colorado Republicans-
I hope you are all doing well! I also hope you had a chance to tune into Sen. Tim Scott's great response ([link removed]) to Joe Biden's address. It's clear that Republican leadership is more visionary and much better for our nation.
I also want to take a minute and wish Colorado's great teachers a great Teacher Appreciation Week.
This week, please be sure to reach out ([link removed]) to Democrats in the State House and Senate and tell them that HB 1232, their public "option" bill is not an option for our families. You can read more about why in Mark Hillman's great op-ed ([link removed]) below.
On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, I'll be hosting the Dan Caplis show from 4-6pm on 630 KHOW. Tune in ([link removed]) , and call in with your questions!

Hillman: Politicians’ dismal record should nix public ‘option’

It’s not hard to understand why people are frustrated with health care.
Electricians, plumbers and mechanics can send us a simple bill with a price for their work, but doctors and hospitals send us bills with sticker-shock prices that they know will be marked down later.
Our health insurance isn’t really “insurance” but rather a system of prepaid financing. We have few choices except how much we’re willing to pay out-of-pocket.
Few of us still have the same insurance or doctor as ten years ago when President Obama assured us, “If you like (them), you can keep (them).”
Navigating health care customer service is rivaled only by the futility of trying to talk to a real person at Comcast or Century Link.
That much I get. What I don’t get is what makes anyone think that putting Colorado state government in charge of health care could possibly make it better.

** Boebert trolls Biden, Harris on border crisis by unfurling Mylar blanket
------------------------------------------------------------
[link removed]
Fox News ([link removed]) : Without speaking a word, Rep. Lauren Boebert appeared to tell President Biden ([link removed]) and Vice President Kamala Harris ([link removed]) on Wednesday night what she was thinking about their handling of the migrant crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border.
While seated in the House chamber of the Capitol for Biden’s joint address to Congress, Boebert unfurled a Mylar blanket -- similar to those seen used by migrants in shelter facilities along the border.
Boebert confirmed to Fox News that the use of the blanket was intentional.
"Biden refused to bring attention to the crisis he created at the southern border," Boebert told Fox News on Thursday. "So I did."

Congressman Doug Lamborn at Blossom Festival: ‘People are happy to be out’
[link removed]
Canon City Daily Record: ([link removed]) Congressman Doug Lamborn ([link removed]) also was glad to be back out and about again when he visited with community members and visitors during the Blossoms in the Park event Saturday at Veterans Park.
“I came down to see my constituents in Cañon City,” he said. “I enjoyed the parade, I am enjoying the Blossom Festival. I can tell people are happy to be out.”
...
People can take care of themselves, we don’t have to have government telling us how to live our lives every moment of the day,” he said. “People are smart enough and responsible enough to take care of themselves. We don’t need Big Brother doing it for us.”
