Throughout the pandemic essential workers have had to risk their health and safety every day in hospitals, grocery stores, and many other workplaces across the city. Despite public praise many essential workers in the District have not received hazard pay for all or even part of the pandemic and lack access to other vital protections like 2 weeks of sick leave. It's time to change that. Please join the Metro Washington Council AFL-CIO and DC Jobs with Justice this Wednesday for a virtual rally calling on the Mayor to enact the DC Essential Worker Bill of Rights!
