[May is Mental Health Awareness Month]([link removed])

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we’ve scheduled a wide variety of events on a number of topics to help raise awareness and support for our message of #MentalHealth4All.

Among our exciting events for the month are:

- Advocacy 101 Webinar on May 4, where you’ll join representatives from AFSP’s Public Policy Office to learn about the legislative process, how to meet with your public officials, and how you can make a difference for suicide prevention as a volunteer Field Advocate
- Ask Dr. Jill with The Mighty on May 11, with Dr. Jill Harkavy-Friedman (Vice President of Research) taking your questions about mental health on Facebook Live
- Instagram Live with Dr. Doreen Marshall (Vice President of Mission Engagement) and the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, discussing yoga, mental health, and self-care strategies everyone can use
- Our latest in the Elevating Voices for Long Lasting Change Town Hall series: “Families, Culture and GenZ/Millennial Perspectives on Mental Health and Suicide Loss,” featuring Dr. Christine Yu Moutier (Chief Medical Officer), along with Solomon Thomas, Tony Cornelius, and their families
- Instagram Live: A Conversation with The Confess Project, with Brett Wean (Senior Communications Writer) and Lorenzo Lewis, whose Confess Project trains barbers to become mental health advocates in communities around the country
- Our annual Lifesavers Gala on May 19, a night of inspiration and action as we honor those who bring hope in the fight against suicide

You can find more information on these and other exciting events on our May Mental Health Awareness Month page. We can’t wait for you to join us in supporting #MentalHealth4All!
