It's time. Tomorrow at 9 AM, there will be a public hearing for legislation — LD 1626 — that would recognize the Wabanaki Tribe's inherent sovereignty. Today is the day to contact your lawmakers to support this essential bill.

At a time when climate change and environmental degradation are accelerating at terrifying rates due to Western ways of living, restoring the Wabanaki tribes’ ability to manage tribal lands, waters, and resources will help protect all children and future generations.

STEP 3: Choose the “Judiciary” Committee
STEP 4: Choose the “May 4 2021 9:01 AM” hearing date

STEP 6: Either upload a file with your testimony or write your testimony directly into the text box

(PLEASE NOTE: if you check the box to submit testimony “Live” at the hearing on Tuesday, you will only be given 2-3 minutes to do so and will be sent Zoom details shortly after submitting your testimony)

STEP 7: Enter your personal information (first name, last name, etc.)
