UAW strike in VA ends
A tentative agreement has been reached in the UAW strike in Dublin, VA. "UAW Local 2069 financial secretary Eric Reeves was notified at 1:00AM (Friday morning) that picketing will be suspended and the strike lines need to be emptied," reported NoVA Labor's Ginny Diamond. Operations at the Volvo plant began with regular 3rd shift operations on Sunday night; further details will be forthcoming.

WB NewsGuild hits 2K member mark
The Washington Baltimore NewsGuild officially hit more than 2,000 dues-paying members, "a first for us in many years and a showing of our continued organizing momentum," the union reported in its latest newsletter. "Our growth won’t stop at 2,000, though, as we see more first contracts signed, organizing accelerates and like-minded independent unions opt to merge with our operations."
