Good afternoon and welcome to our Weekend Update.



Earlier this week, Joe Biden delivered his first speech to a joint session of Congress. Participation was limited due to Covid-19 restrictions, and I was not in attendance.



Biden strongly advocated for an extreme progressive policy wish list to raise taxes, crush the economy and increase American’s dependence on the government. The cartoon below sums up Biden's plans.







At Biden's Inauguration, he promised his Administration would govern in a bipartisan manner. Unfortunately, over the past 100 days, the Biden Administration has governed in an extreme left-wing approach… from Covid-19 relief to the catastrophe at our southern border to his recent multi-trillion-dollar spending proposals. There has been little to no Republican involvement in any of his proposals or initiatives to date.



Since their first day in office, the Biden administration issued several executive orders that have killed the energy market, emboldened our adversaries and created a catastrophe at the Mexican border. The Biden administration and Congressional Democrats passed a partisan $1.9 trillion ‘Covidrelief’ bill, less than 10% of which was focused on actual combatting the Covid-19 pandemic.



If you combine the Biden administration's $2.25 trillion Green New Deal ‘Infrastructure’ plan with the $1.8 trillion ‘American Families Plan,’ the result will be a big government bureaucracy that will cost taxpayers over $4 trillion. How will Democrats cover this massive government program and extreme left-wing handouts? By raising taxes on millions of hard-working Americans and businesses.



Biden’s plans aren’t new or innovative… they are the same failed policies of yesteryear. As we come out of the pandemic, we don’t need bigger government… we should be focused on an agenda that supports job creation in our communities, expands broadband, fixes our roads, bridges, highways, airports, and other gateways to growth and innovation. We should not be exploiting this ‘crisis’ as an opportunity to pass a $4 trillion progressive wish list that will raise taxes, add trillions to our national debt and impose Green New Deal mandates. Unfortunately, many on the left chose to attack Senator Scott’s race… just because they disagree with the facts he presented and the policies he supports. Unbelievably, due to bigotry and hatred from the left, the hashtag ‘Uncle Tim’ was trending on Twitter. That is appalling. I can only imagine the outrage if the roles were reversed and a Democrat was treated the same way.



This week, the U.S. Census numbers were released. As you may have heard, Pennsylvania has not kept up with the population growth of the rest of the nation and is losing another congressional seat. We have lost 19 seats over the past seventy years. That is a tremendous amount of population loss that has diminished our state's voice in Congress. We need a change in Pennsylvania… too many people are leaving it, not loving it. We need a governor who will put in place plans and policies that will work with our legislature to drive our economy forward and support hardworking families. IN NEWS YOU WON’T HEAR IN THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA: As it relates to handling the Covid-19 pandemic, Joe Biden spent much of his speech sounding like a rooster taking credit for the dawn.



Outrageously, Biden claimed credit for Operation Warp Speed and the distribution of vaccines. FALSE. President Donald Trump and his swift actions to push the development of vaccines past the regulatory hurdles are responsible for the vaccines we are enjoying today.



In fact, CNN, Gloria Borger, claimed that “everybody understands that Operation Warp Speed happened under Joe Biden.” Watch below. Outrageously, that false statement was never corrected by the panel.

Borger later corrected her statement but offered that Trump was not responsible for “getting shots into your arms.” MSNBC anchor Nicole Wallace repeated the same fake news, ignoring the fact that the nation was already vaccinating around 1 million people per day when Biden took office. The mainstream media and the Left will never let the facts get in the way of a false narrative that pushes their message.
