Republicans have a complicated relationship with the truth these days (to put it mildly). Looking at the lineup the House Republicans put together for their annual retreat in Orlando, it's only going to get worse.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Donald Trump's former press secretary and current candidate for Governor of Arkansas, spoke with the House Republican Caucus earlier this week at the retreat about how to “work with the press.”

It's nearly impossible to find someone who had a more dishonest relationship with the media than Sarah Huckabee Sanders. She lied about the Trump administration's border separation policy that ripped children away from their parents. She lied about the vetting process for immigrants. She lied by claiming President Obama wiretapped the 2016 Trump campaign.

Now, House Republicans evidently want to learn more from Sanders about the dark arts of spinning misinformation to the press. They want to learn how to lie like her.

This is just further proof that Republicans will do anything to win back a majority in Congress in 2022 on the road to winning back the White House in 2024. The good news is that we beat Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Donald Trump once. We most certainly can do it again.
