We are contesting nearly 3,000 seats. Ready to vote Green 6 May?
John,
In just 4 days, we are contesting nearly 3,000 seats across England and Wales. With your Green votes, we can get more Greens in local councils, and make sure that every voice is heard. Find out more about the differences Greens make in local communities 🔽
Are you ready to cast your Green vote Thursday 6 May? Polling stations are open from 7 AM until 10 PM. Check where you can vote here. As Greens we know that a Green vote is a vote for doing politics differently, and a pledge to work with local communities to make sure that we deliver lasting social, economic and environmental justice. Like Tyrone Scott says in the video (below), local elections are important to Greens ‘because of all the impact that local Green councillors have had across the country’.
💚SUPPORT THE PARTY: How do we create a Green future and a fair democracy? One way is having more Greens in the room. Get your Green Party logo t-shirt to show your support! The other is addressing the imbalance of power between government and parliament, imposing fixed terms for MPs, proportional representation and lowering the voting age along with so many other Green policies A.C. Grayling outlines in his book. Get your copy here.
