ICYMI: President Trump issues Election Day statement in support of Susan Wright for Congress (TX-06)
Arlington, TX — President Donald J. Trump, who endorsed Susan Wright for Congress this past Monday, issued a statement ([link removed]) on today's special election in support of Susan.

"Today is Election Day in Texas, go out and vote for Susan Wright," said President Trump. "She will be strong on the Border, Crime, Pro-Life, our brave Military and Vets, and will ALWAYS protect your Second Amendment. She will never let you down. VOTE TODAY!"

"I'm truly honored to be endorsed by President Trump, and I'm so proud to be the only candidate in this race President Trump trusts to be his ally in our fight to Make America Great Again," said Susan Wright. "I'm traveling all across TX-06 today and hearing from so many voters fired up about our America First mission, and I'm so thankful that President Trump is helping us get out the vote."

Susan Wright has been endorsed by President Donald J. Trump, the Republican Party of Texas, Club for Growth, Susan B. Anthony List, and Congress Members Andy Biggs, Anthony Garbarino, Chip Roy, Elise Stefanik, Jodey Arrington, Kay Granger, Lance Gooden, Louie Gohmert, Pat Fallon, and Troy Nehls. Susan has also garnered the support of many local, conservative officials including Arlington Mayor Jeff Williams, Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price, Tarrant County Sheriff Bill Waybourn, Tarrant County GOP Chair Rick Barnes, and State Representatives David Cook, Matt Krause, Stephanie Klick, and Tony Tinderholt.

Susan Wright is the widow of the late Rep. Ron Wright. She has been active in Texas politics for decades, serving members of the state legislature, as committeewoman for the State Republican Executive Committee, and on numerous boards in TX-06.

There are 23 candidates running in the May 1st special election. If no candidate earns >50% of the vote, there will be a runoff election between the top-two candidates.
