SpringForwardMN, GiveMN’s giving campaign, begins today!

 

Any donations you make between today—International Workers’ Day—and May 11 will support ILCM’s work to assist DREAMers to enroll in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. This program is transformative for DACA recipients and their communities:

• DACA recipients report both getting better jobs and pursuing educational opportunities that were previously unavailable;  
• DACA recipients in Minnesota contribute tens of millions of dollars in state, local, and federal taxes; and 
• At a time when our state needs not only all recent immigrants, but even more to maintain current economic growth, DACA recipients are performing essential work that Is needed during the pandemic and beyond.  

In addition to contributing to ILCM’s work, donors will be entered for a chance to win a free copy of What We Hunger For: Refugee and Immigrant Stories about Food and Family. This collection of Minnesota immigrant and refugees’ stories about food, cooking, and eating will be the featured work for ILCM’s next Perspectives event on May 20th.
