Dear John,

Organizing is a tradition in the labor rights movement—on May Day, we honor the legacy of labor leaders like César Chávez, Dolores Huerta, Héctor Figueroa, and countless others who fought for protections for immigrants workers. And today, we can help to carry on their legacy by mobilizing to guarantee organizing rights and permanent protections for the immigrant workers who have been on the frontlines of this deadly pandemic.
Tell Congress: Pass Citizenship for the 11 Million! ([link removed])

Every day in America, over five million undocumented essential workers ([link removed]) show up to keep our communities running. For the past year, they’ve been asked to work in dangerous conditions without any guarantee of a pathway to citizenship or the right to organize and protect themselves from predatory employers. But that can change with the PRO Act ([link removed]) , by guaranteeing workers the right to organize their workplace, and by finally putting the 11 million on a path to citizenship.

Today, we’re celebrating immigrant and essential workers—and demanding a permanent pathway to citizenship for millions of immigrant workers and their families, as well as the rights of workers to organize and work in dignity without fear of retaliation and discrimination.

Stand in solidarity with workers today! Contact your representative and ask them to pass the PRO Act and to include a pathway to citizenship in President Biden’s American Families Plan!

Yours in the fight,
Murad Awawdeh
