John,
Last month our second opponent officially entered the race, making our end-of-month fundraising even more important than ever before. So to show our opponents the strength of our grassroots team we set an important $40,000 end-of-month fundraising goal.
But even with the surge in donations we saw from our grassroots supporters, we just barely missed our goal. I'm afraid our opponents will see it as a sign of weakness from our team. So this month, it's even more important that we keep our eyes on the road ahead and hit every single goal we set.
This is a small setback, and it does not define our campaign. You've always been a strong supporter of this campaign and I know that we can get back on track. This month is a fresh start for our campaign, and our team is fired up and ready to continue working toward 2022.
John, this re-election campaign is only beginning. Now that we have two opponents in this race, it's only a matter of time before the attacks hit the air, and if we don't keep our fundraising on track, we won't have the resources we need to fight back.
We're hyper-focused on starting this month on the right foot. Will you help us kick off our May fundraising by making a donation of $5 or more right now?
