As a former science teacher and educator, I knew I had to stand up and
advocate for my students inside and outside the classroom. As a working
mother, I know all too well the real challenges facing working families,
especially during this tragic pandemic.

Our state was crippled by a once-in-a-generation snowstorm where millions
were left in the cold and in the dark without food and water.

Our state’s Republican leadership was too busy denying science or jetting
off to Cancún to help us. So I decided enough is enough: It’s time we had
someone who will fight relentlessly for the people in a position of power.

I believe we hold the power to be the change we want, and need to see, in
this world.
