Look, John -- the GOP has been uncharacteristically transparent about their plans for redistricting. They want to “secure a decade of power,” according to one official. Another said that they need “not concern themselves with fairness.” Yet others are talking specifically about drawing Democratic congresswomen out of their seats.
With the release of reapportionment numbers, we have one last chance to fight back. The next several months are going to be a brutal slog through 15 states, dozens of legislative bodies, and countless committee hearings. Throughout it all, we intend to demand transparency, involve the public, and hold politicians accountable until we get FAIR MAPS. But our success or failure depends on you.
